Ari Barnett

Ari obtained his bachelor’s in molecular and cell biology from St. Petersburg College with a dual minor in software/web development and laboratory management. Ari then studied mathematical modeling at the University of Central Florida before pursuing his PhD at USF. Ari joined the EDIT lab in 2024 with the goal of developing a new methodology for the creation of virtual cohorts that will accurately recapitulate both patient/tissue-level and cellular-level heterogeneity in radiation therapy response. His thesis will utilize probability convolution methods to reduce the computational cost of constructing virtual cohorts.
