HIP-IMO 2024

Welcome to EDIT Lab’s two new high school interns Richa Trivedi (South Forsyth High School, Georgia) and Anish Nelluri (Strawberry Crest High School, Florida). They are participating in the High School Internship Program for Integrated Mathematical Oncology (HIP-IMO), where they will complete an 8 week intensive internship learning how to construct mathematical models applied to cancer.

Anish will be working on a model of PARP inhibitor resistance in ovarian cancer, where he will use a model of dose response and test alternative, optimal treatment schedules to mitigate the evolution of resistance.

Richa will be working on a spatial model of microvesicle transfer in non-small cell lung cancer to illustrate the effect of long range cell-cell interactions on the evolution of resistance.
