An invited talk “Modeling tumor and microenvironment interactions under treatment: the role of the interstitial fluid” has been given by Kasia Rejniak as a part of the minisymposium: Biological and Physical Complexity in Fluid Structure Interactions Problems.

Kasia Rejniak has also chaired a plenary session and introduced the plenary speaker, Dr. Kristin Swanson, Nothwestern University.

Jana Gevertz (The College of New Jersey), the co-leader of the WhAM! Tumor Resistance project, has presented our work "Exploring the Emergence fo Anti-Cancer Drug Resistance through a Spatial Model" at the 2014 European Conference on Mathematical and Theoretical Biology ECMTB in Gothenburg, Sweden, minisymposium on Spatial Models in Cancer Biology.

MunJu Kim has presented a poster: "Promotion of cellular self-renewal induces oxygen-necrosis orchestrated tumor dormancy" in a collaboration of our group with Heiko Enderling (IMO).

2014 January, a book "Discrete and Toplogical Models in Molecular Biology" edited by Natasha Jonoska and Masahico Saito has been published by Springer Natural computing Series. A contributed chapter "IBCell Morphocharts: A Computational Model for Linking Cell Molecular Activity and Emerging Tissue Morphology" by Kasia Rejniak is included in this book.
