Cost-sharing is required.
For MD (or equiv. degree) applicants, it is required as matching funding ($40,000 per year) to aid in protecting research time and ensuring provision of a strong scientific environment, laboratory equipment, and supplies to conduct the research.
For PhD (or equiv. degree) applicants,
cost sharing is required to support salary/stipend, supplies and equipment to conduct the research, or other direct costs to appropriately support the trainee.
Eligibility: Clinical and postdoctoral fellows < 5 years beyond completing a doctorate or residency, or
Early career investigators w/in first 5 years of beginning a faculty position. 
Applicants must commit to no less than one year of performance on award,  and no less than 50% (MD applicants) or 70%  (for PhD applicants) effort on research.
If research to be conducted in U.S., applicants are not required to be U.S. citizens but must have valid Social Security numbers for IRS purposes.

The purpose of the program is to advance studies that deliver results for cancer patients and empower individuals to develop their skills to make a difference for themselves and the greater community.  RTF supports truly innovative, unique, patient-centered research that has the potential to positively impact the lives of cancer patients in near future. Early stages clinical studies and translational research that can demonstrate the potential for quick and meaningful impact are funded. Basic research or phase III/IV trials are not supported.

Clinical Consortium Award

This award mechanism provides the support to develop and enhance collaborations and resources necessary for a network of organizations to rapidly execute Phase II or Phase II-linked Phase I (Phase I/II) prostate cancer clinical trials, including investigations of high-impact, novel therapeutic agents or approaches for the management or treatment of prostate cancer. In accordance with PCRP goals, the conduct of Phase I/II trials incorporating investigations of biomarkers for risk assessment, early detection, prediction of aggressiveness, and/or progression of prostate cancer is particularly encouraged.  Support from this award is directed toward consortium infrastructure needs rather than direct support of the research itself.

Lymphoma Clinical Research Mentoring Program (LCRMP)

The LCRMP is an education and mentoring program for fellows and junior faculty with a focus in clinical research in the field of non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphoma.

Eligibility: Applicant must be a junior faculty member in first four years of a faculty position or trainees at least in the second year of one of the following ACGME accredited sub-specialty fellowship programs: Hematology/Oncology, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, or Hematopathology.
