MMG Junior Faculty Research Award

The MMG Junior Faculty Research Award (JFRA) is intended to ease transition to independence for investigators either in the laboratory or as clinical trialists.  Award promotes exploration of innovative ideas in translational research through the funding of pilot projects proposed by Moffitt investigators; will not support extensions of existing full projects.  The goal is to allow appropriate and motivated individuals to develop an independent research career in translational science focused on cancer.

Innovation Award

To provide funding to extraordinary early career researchers who have an innovative new idea but lack sufficient preliminary data to obtain traditional funding.

Eligibility: Applicants must belong to one of the following:
Tenure-track Assistant Professors w/in first 4 years of initial Assistant Professor position (Cut-off date: July 1, 2011.)
Clinical Instructors and Senior Clinical Fellows (in final year of sub-specialty training) holding an MD and pursuing a period of independent research before a tenure-track faculty position. 
Applicants are expected to commit a minimum of 80% FTE to conducting research.
