Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) Translational Cancer Research Fellowship

The intent of the fellowship is to provide additional support to individuals who are engaged in any area of clinical and/or translational cancer research in order to further the development of their careers and enhance their future success in an academic discipline. The AACI fellowship will provide a one-year non-renewable grant to support post-doctoral training to individuals who have completed at least one year of training in any field of oncology and have at least one year of training remaining at an AACI member institution.

The one-year $50,000 fellowship grant may provide support for the trainee's salary and benefits, stipend, and/or direct research expenses while working on a clinical and/or translational cancer research project.

If you are a post doc interested in this fellowship, and you meet the eligibility criteria, please consult your mentor.

Pre-applications (internal competition) will consist of a one page description of your proposed translational cancer research project and an assurance of sponsorship from your mentor. The "pre-application" must be in PDF format and submitted by 4:00pm, Friday, December 14, 2012 electronically to Maureen.Ahearn@moffitt.org .

Been in Sponsor's lab more than 1 year.

Level 2
MD,MD/PhD, DDS, DVM or equivalent must have completed residencies and clinical training and be board eligible.
Must be able to devote at least 80% effort to the fellowship.
Postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows and clinical instructors are eligible to apply.
